A City We Chose, A Team We Loved: Why RCB’s Victory Felt Personal

Not Born Here, But We Belong. Like so many others, I came with dreams in my eyes—to build a life, a career, a future. And over the years, this city became my home. I built my career, started a family, bought my first house, my kid is born and is growing up in this very city. When RCB won last night, I cried. Yes, I cheered like any true fan, I waited for too long, from shouting  "Ee sala cup namde"  to feeling  "Ee sala cup nandu" —something shifted. A whole generation of us, who came here as outsiders, have given our love to this city. We may not have been born here, but we belong here. It hurts when someone asks, “Why do you support RCB? It’s not your native team.” Because this city gave us more than just jobs—it gave us identity, confidence, and self-belief. Many of us came here with heartbreak, with hopes of starting again. And Bangalore gave us that chance. India is built on the idea of  Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam —the world is one family. We’re proud to be pa...

Dil ka aayena

Koshish rehti hai ki chehara dil ka aayena na ban jaaye Bewafa ka kya bewafai toh humse uppar waale ne bhi ki hai

Kaisa waqt aa gaya hai

Kaisa waqt aa gaya hai , phele chahte the ki lamha yahin ruk jaaye Do pal aur apno k saath mil jaaye.. Aaj dua karte hain ki din bas jaldi guzar jaayein  Ki ek baar phir apno se hum mil paayein Shukraguzar toh hain ki usne humein zindagi di Par ab Kahan hai woh jab duniyan mei yeh mushkilat hai Rab itni nemat kare  Jo din akele guzare hain unka Kafara Ada Kare

Call me crazy, but I am grateful to 2020

The challenges of this year have been beyond stressful in many ways. But I wonder,  would we be attentive to the beautiful things around us if things hadn't unraveled as they have this year? If this weren't 2020, chances are we would be rushing about doing all the stuff of life, and would rarely pause to notice the gifts of each day. The time we got with our little ones, it was a gift we could never have reclaimed.  #gratitude #gratefulheart

This is how I did it

I am an ordinary girl who came to Bangalore looking for a job about 10 years ago. After some struggle and help from a friend, I landed a decent IT job. Life unfolded, and I was made to marry the boy of my parents choice. I wasn't supposed to refuse as I was told I "don’t have the desirable looks expected of a North Indian girl." After some months of marriage, things turned for the better and my daughter came as a blessing. Since then I have been a happy but insanely busy, an almost single mom rushing against time to finish errands to keep a balance between work and home. Amidst this, I felt a lump in my left breast (without any other symptoms). The biopsy reports confirmed carcinoma of the breast. I was the first to receive the news from my doctor. The fear of going away from my daughter gave me the strength to fight this. At that point, I wanted to do everything to increase my chances of survival.  I want to live as long as possible for my daughter. I even decided to go ...

Wish I could turn back time

Wish I could turn back time, when you were just mine When the smiles were real wish I could seal Wish this love could grew and I wish it was true I didn’t complain when it was not perfect, is this why you got detached? What made it easy for you to go, won’t you let me know I was trying to be a good mom and a wife Was it a mistake that my heart is scarred for life I was confined within the house making sure you come back to a loving home When you were making love didn’t it strike you I was alone How did you tell her that you love her, did I not love you didn’t you see me here How did you gave her my right, did you not see I gave you my heart and soul and craved for you every night Didn’t it jolted you when she came near,  Did you love her so much, that my voice you couldn’t hear Didn’t  your heart reminded of your wife for whom you were life All I ever wanted was your love, it will not be perfect I knew, just wanted it to be true For the days I have may be few.

Fought Cancer With Courage, Dignity And A 2-Year-Old Daughter

Just got off the phone with a very senior person from my company, who acknowledged my dedication and contribution to my work so far. My credibility in the team is still intact, and I am still an asset, even though I had to avail of certain work flexibility. While I am little overwhelmed, this conversation was just what I wanted at this moment, when I was losing my self-confidence to be able to work and just be what I was before being diagnosed with Cancer. losing my self-confidence to be able to work just be what I was before being diagnosed with Cancer. Yes as intimidating as the 'C' word may sound, your mental health too gets affected. While doctors are mostly trying to keep you physically well during the time of treatment. Definitely, the road to treat cancer is a long and difficult one, involving encounters with the dreadful truths about the disease coming from doctors, things you read or the people and situations you face. It makes it taxing, both physically and emotiona...
